Our Experience

New York: Confidential Semiconductor Client Tool Installation and Process Lateral Scope

Client: Confidential Semiconductor Client, Upstate, New York
Duration and Staff: 2 years with peak staff of 50 people.
Project Description: Project integrator/construction management to support Safety, Field and Project management, Project controls and overall logistics for the entire team.
WWPS served as the primary source of construction management staff for the project and primary interfaced with third party vendors for our client. We successfully maintained immaculate recordkeeping, time tracking and invoicing. This was a challenge given the complex WBS coding and documentation required for the multi- program, multiple step accounting systems.
A key to the program was locating quality candidates. The staffing and recruiting strategy for this project included frequent meetings of our executive and site management team. We reached out to our employee base for top quality referrals. High retention rate of employees was also a part of this strategy. We engage with our employees and develop them in a learning environment where their voices are heard.
This project was the first time our client had utilized the Integrated Project Delivery methodology and we successfully teamed with two piping contractors, two electrical contractors, one mechanical contractor and one architectural specialty contractor in addition to a design firm. Our safety leadership worked to develop a team environment and rallied the safety teams from our trade partners to focus on active engagement with field operations. Additionally, our safety manager worked with our customer to implement improvement initiatives into their program including better safety indicators, increased commitment of the site leadership to the safety leadership team and development of a website to increase visibility and awareness of the status of the site safety program.
